ABOUT developed GAP360, a 7-step patient-centered process to identify, prioritize, design and conduct important HBOC research. Below is a description of the 7 steps to GAP360. Members of our community can submit their own research questions. You can view the research questions that have been previously submitted by members of our community and their current status and submit your own unanswered questions."

  • Literature review, advisory board query, community surveys
Prioritize

Prioritize

  • Steering Committee and Research Work Group assign priority score
  • Executive Committe and Research Team assign feasibility score
  • Results compiled and reported back
  • Recommendations are made for next steps
Plan

Plan (Studies are promoted)

  • Study design considerations: size, length, eligibility, resources, partnerships and collaborations
  • Potential funding sources identified
Proposal

Proposal (Studies are promoted)

  • Study team assembled
  • Objectives, aims, milestones, and timeline developed
  • Proposal written and submitted
Perform

Perform

  • Study team performs research
  • Results compiled and statistical analysis completed
Publish

Publish

  • Draft technical and lay articles
  • Publish through open access
  • Disseminate through FORCE, ABOUT and partner channels
